STAY TUNED FOR WEBSITE UPDATES

Hello, All! For the next few days, while we make some aesthetic changes, we will have our website redirected to our blog. The revised site will debut Thursday, December 1, 2011. When the website is ready we will debut subtle changes along with our new pricing structure. In the meantime, enjoy reading our past blog posts and visit our Facebook page and see some of our more current work.

We are also experiencing technical issues with our email addresses. We have GoDaddy on the job and will have it taken care of soon.

Happy Planning!

DIY BRIDES REVISTED

Earlier this year I did a series of posts on DIY Brides and my want for them to have a great wedding planning experience. The posts were to encourage brides to not overDIY themselves. This morning as I was perusing my Google Reader, I came upon this post by Mrs. Labrador of Weddingbee.  Don't you just love her puppy avatar/icon/thingy?! Too cute!

I linked to her post to show brides that it is not just wedding planner talk to try and get you to hire a wedding planner (or other wedding vendors) by saying do not DIY too much. It is sage advice. You do not have to have a wedding planner to handle every aspect of your wedding for you. Even if you hire a planner via a few consultation hours who will develop a realistic schedule for you, who will honestly tell you if you are taking on too much (yes, we can tell from the onset) and who will give you a call once a month to make sure you are staying on track, it is worth it. Mind you, this should be a planner who actually takes their career seriously.

We are in the beginning of engagement season and many of you will begin planning soon. With that in mind I am revisiting my series from earlier this year. You can read it here, here, here, here, and here

Of course, the  most important thing is that Mrs. Labrador her sweetie married. The Planner Pages wishes them all the best as they go into their first year as a married couple.
