feedback needed :: serving the wedding party

This post is an essay question (of sorts). Do you think it is necessary to have the wedding party served at weddings or called to the front of the buffet? Or should they be served at the same time as all other guests?

I think it's a nice and respectful gesture to serve the bridal party immediately following the bride and groom. They aren't the stars of the show, but they are absolutely an integral part of the wedding day.

I too think it is a nice gesture. Often times, the bridal party may not get to take part in the cocktail time like other guests so being served before other guests is okay.
