STAY TUNED FOR WEBSITE UPDATES

Hello, All! For the next few days, while we make some aesthetic changes, we will have our website redirected to our blog. The revised site will debut Thursday, December 1, 2011. When the website is ready we will debut subtle changes along with our new pricing structure. In the meantime, enjoy reading our past blog posts and visit our Facebook page and see some of our more current work.

We are also experiencing technical issues with our email addresses. We have GoDaddy on the job and will have it taken care of soon.

Happy Planning!

are you serious?

That is the question I have to ask members of the wedding industry. Specifically for this post, wedding planners. In the past month, I have had two sets of new clients tell me stories of potential wedding planners. One couple contacted me and at least five other wedding planners on the same day. She said I was the only one, after five weeks, to even return her phone call. Another set of clients informed me of the less-than-professional acts of planners during their initial consult. These planners were nice and polite. They were just unprepared. Never sent a follow-up proposal, as they said they would. And showed up later than the clients did to the meeting.

My fellow wedding planners, it is hard enough for us educate the masses on the usefulness of our services. That task becomes none too easy when stories like the ones above are left to be told. Please, for all our sakes, just decide if you are serious about what you do. If so, kick it up a notch. If not, well...

Hey!

I actually experienced something similar when I briefly entertained the thought of a planner (a few months before Gina recommended you). I called two Memphis-based companies. 1 returned my call about a week later than she said she would and lead with the "we dont plan for an under $25K budget" which left a bad taste in my mouth. The other emailed me after I called and said she was busy that week but would get back to me, but she never did. :-(

Then Gina gave me the tip and I looked at your website and thought, "Now THIS is how you run a business!" LOL. That was the first thing that hooked me. It's important to put time into a website. That's the first impression many people get of your biz so it needs to be special, and yours is. Plus all of that was confirmed when I began interacting with you. I LOVED the homework. LOL. Anyway, I feel completely confident in everything you're doing, and that's just what a bride needs. :-)
