STAY TUNED FOR WEBSITE UPDATES

Hello, All! For the next few days, while we make some aesthetic changes, we will have our website redirected to our blog. The revised site will debut Thursday, December 1, 2011. When the website is ready we will debut subtle changes along with our new pricing structure. In the meantime, enjoy reading our past blog posts and visit our Facebook page and see some of our more current work.

We are also experiencing technical issues with our email addresses. We have GoDaddy on the job and will have it taken care of soon.

Happy Planning!

money, money, money

It is here! The much anticipated engagement season. Be honest, all of us in the industry love this time of year. For those of us who have a bit of hopeless romantic in us, it is a time of celebration and new beginnings. But, for all of us in the wedding industry, it is a time to think about where to spend those advertising dollars.

I have many, many wedding industry friends across the country (as well as in Paris and Australia). We talk on a regular basis and, of course, advertising is discussed. It is quite interesting how in different areas of the country, dollars are spent and there is ROI in varying areas. Most of us agree that print advertising is not the best use of our dollars. Most. Not all. Online advertising has definitely become a larger area of concentration for the industry, wedding planners in particular. Referrals from past clients is always a gift as are referrals from our vendor friends.

I am quite sure we all have our success and horror stories from advertising dollars spent. I have definitely had some great ROI from some advertising. I have also had to suck up several thousand dollars from a contract that netted me not one phone call or one email inquiry. Lesson learned. No matter how you decide to proceed, be sure it is what works for you and for your business model. Just because it worked for one vendor, does not mean it will work for you.
